About This CourseIn addition to core psychology subjects, you'll focus on examining the psychological motivations behind criminal or deviant actions. You'll apply analytical thinking and research-backed evidence to investigate how forensic psychologists participate in discussions about law enforcement, criminal activity, the justice system, and offender rehabilitation. Beyond studying the root causes of unlawful behavior, you'll examine methods forensic psychologists employ to treat and reintegrate offenders into society.

This program not only provides comprehensive knowledge of contemporary psychology topics but also delves deeply into understanding harmful behaviors and psychopathic tendencies. You'll study the impact on crime victims and methods for psychological support. The curriculum offers insights into offender psychology, including developing treatment programs and rehabilitation strategies. You'll learn how forensic psychologists utilize research findings to shape policies regarding crime prevention, law enforcement, and justice reform. Potential areas of study include substance misuse, mental health conditions, and patterns of criminal behavior across different age groups like adolescents. Alongside psychology faculty, you'll learn from experts in social sciences and education with specialties in justice systems, policing, and violent crime, sharing classes with Criminology and Criminal Justice students.
