The demand for Environmental Scientists has never been greater across industries, governments, and communities. This interdisciplinary program examines critical environmental challenges including climate change, pollution, sustainable energy, and food systems. The curriculum integrates biological sciences (studying organisms and ecosystems), chemistry (exploring natural processes and contaminants), earth sciences (examining planetary systems), along with land and water management. Blending these disciplines with hands-on fieldwork and excursions creates an engaging and valuable educational experience. Bangor's unique location offers exceptional study opportunities, with diverse ecosystems from coastal areas to Snowdonia National Park's historic mining landscapes. Fieldwork forms the core of our Environmental Science program, featuring both local excursions and extended residential trips. We maintain strong partnerships with environmental organizations at all levels, ensuring our curriculum remains current and industry-relevant. The program holds accreditation from the Institution of Environmental Science (IES), enhancing graduate employability and providing benefits like industry publications, publishing opportunities, job listings, and discounted event access. This accredited degree serves as the foundation for professional advancement toward Chartered Status. Placement Year and International Experience Year Available
