Addressing environmental challenges like pollution, climate change, and unsustainable resource use has emerged as the defining issue of our time. This course provides both theoretical knowledge of ecological systems and practical insights into conservation challenges. You'll develop essential skills for habitat and species monitoring while learning how social and economic considerations shape effective conservation strategies.

Our expert faculty, specializing in conservation, ecology, environmental science, forestry, and social sciences, foster a welcoming learning environment. Bangor University houses the renowned Centre for Evidence Based Conservation, which bridges the gap between scientific research and policy implementation.

Situated between the Menai Strait and Snowdonia National Park, our location provides exceptional opportunities for hands-on learning through field trips and practical sessions. We maintain strong partnerships with local conservation groups such as Snowdonia National Park Authority and Natural Resources Wales, offering students real-world insights.

Our global network extends to conservation projects in Madagascar, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ghana, Kenya, and Bangladesh. Students can choose between a standard three-year program or a four-year option that includes a placement with conservation organizations either in the UK or internationally.
