You'll examine archaeological findings, historical records, and their varying interpretations. The hands-on and adaptable skills you develop will open doors to diverse career paths.Placement Year and International Experience Year AvailableCareer PathsThe synergy between these fields prepares you for heritage sector roles through practical and theoretical training in heritage studies, combined with deep knowledge of archaeological and historical frameworks.Our alumni have secured positions with Archaeological Units, Archaeological Trusts, museums, and CADW (Welsh Government's Historic Environment Service). You'll also gain versatile skills applicable to various fields like public service, education, legal professions, media, business management, and hospitality.Year 2 and 3 students can enroll in work-placement modules, completed either within the university or through external partners. These count toward degree assessment. The program boosts employment readiness while demonstrating career possibilities in history and archaeology. Past placements have included archives, archaeological teams, museums, and heritage sites.
