Health psychology examines how our behaviors impact health, disease, and the care of individuals with chronic conditions. Health psychologists apply psychological principles to analyze health-related behaviors and create interventions that promote positive behavioral changes. Covering topics from health disparities and public health to the psychobiological aspects of disease and chronic conditions, the Health Psychology MSc offers a comprehensive exploration of core theoretical concepts. This program serves as an excellent foundation for pursuing a fulfilling career in health psychology and adjacent disciplines. Numerous alumni progress to advanced training (Stage 2) to achieve Chartered Psychologist status with the British Psychological Society and register as Health Psychologists with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Others secure positions within the NHS, implementing interventions to enhance patient health, manage illnesses, or assess and improve existing healthcare services.
