The BA (Hons) Make-up for Media and Performance program equips you with essential creative skills for careers in performance, fashion, film, and television. Our alumni have contributed to major productions including The Last of Us, The Marvels, Paddington in Peru, The Gentlemen, Thor: The Dark World, Wheel of Time, The Crown, Ted Lasso, Doctor Who, Coronation Street, and Casualty. They've also worked with prestigious organizations like the Royal Shakespeare Company, English National Opera, and on West End musicals including Tina, Wicked, Mary Poppins, Matilda, and Priscilla Queen of the Desert, as well as events like London Fashion Week and productions at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden.As a vital part of production teams, you'll collaborate with students from BA (Hons) Acting, Film Production, Costume Design, Commercial Photography, Visual Effects, Fashion, and Fashion Communication programs on practical projects. This course covers comprehensive make-up techniques, including design for drama, ballet, opera, and music performances. You'll gain fashion and photography expertise, learn wig and hairpiece construction, and master prosthetic effects for film and television. These versatile skills prepare you for diverse creative industries spanning theatre, television, music, fashion, and cinema.Placement opportunityAll AUB undergraduate programs feature an optional placement year between the second and final year of study.No immediate decision about placements is required.
