Our doctoral research programs enable you to participate in existing research initiatives or pursue your own publishing-related interests with guidance from our expert faculty. You'll be assigned two primary advisors, with potential access to additional academic support and possible mentorship from publishing professionals. Our advisors possess extensive knowledge across publishing history, contemporary practices, design, digital media, creative writing, and cultural theory.
You'll pursue your research within a cooperative academic setting, benefiting from strong connections to research networks both within our institution and the broader scholarly community. We organize and participate in numerous research events for faculty and graduate students, including regular departmental seminars and international conferences. These seminars provide opportunities to present your work in an encouraging academic environment.
These activities, combined with our digital platforms, facilitate connections with fellow research students across various disciplines.
Financial assistance may be available to support your studies. We dedicate significant annual funding to assist with graduate student travel and conference participation, along with select scholarship opportunities. Your specialized studies will be complemented by university-wide training programs, where you'll develop essential research skills in areas including research ethics, academic presentations, intellectual property rights, and digital research methodologies.
