Our supervisors specialize in diverse areas of contemporary fine art, covering current trends in painting, expanded artistic practices, object-based and installation work, virtual art, interdisciplinary projects involving sound and video, performance art's connection to live events and documentation, the cross-disciplinary aspects of printmaking, as well as landscape studies and walking-based artistic approaches.

As part of Cambridge School of Art, you'll join a dynamic and expanding PhD research community. We offer multiple research platforms that highlight the collaborative and interdisciplinary nature of academic inquiry, such as the Fine Art Research Unit (FARU), which organizes regular seminars and casual presentations for postgraduate researchers, along with the StoryLab Research Institute.
