You will be assigned two supervisors, with extra staff members on hand if needed. Our supervisors have expertise across various philosophy disciplines, encompassing contemporary European thought, phenomenology, psychoanalysis, gender studies in philosophy, classical philosophy, aesthetics, philosophy of religion, and moral philosophy. You'll benefit from a vibrant research atmosphere with robust connections to academic networks at Anglia Ruskin and beyond, including collaborations with the University of Cambridge's Centre for Research into Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH).
We regularly organize and participate in numerous academic events, including frequent Faculty and departmental research seminars, offering you opportunities to share your work in an encouraging environment. These gatherings, combined with our digital platforms, will help you network with fellow research students from diverse fields.
Your specialized studies will be complemented by our institution-wide training programs, where you'll develop crucial research skills in areas such as research ethics, public speaking, intellectual property rights, and digital academic practices.
