After completing registration, a research student, guided by their supervisory team, will develop a detailed study plan.
Students initially enroll in the MPhil program, with the option to upgrade to a PhD later.
During their studies, students complete two Progression Point evaluations. These assessments help ensure timely and successful degree completion while mirroring final examination requirements. They involve submitting comprehensive written materials and undergoing a brief oral examination, with content that contributes to the final thesis. Successful completion of the second assessment leads to PhD status.
This structured evaluation system maintains quality standards for postgraduate research while providing crucial academic feedback at key study milestones.
Part-time students follow adjusted timelines that reflect their individual study commitments.
