Advance your academic journey with an innovative team specializing in analytical research, contributing meaningfully to scientific knowledge and forensic methodologies. Doctoral students are invited to actively participate in our School's research network, focusing on crime scene investigation, evidentiary analysis, and forensic genetics. Our University boasts a long-standing reputation in forensic science education. We maintain collaborative ties with numerous investigative agencies such as law enforcement, emergency services, academic institutions, and forensic service providers. These strong partnerships enable us to examine, diagnose, and enhance various facets of forensic and investigative sciences applied in legal proceedings.
As part of the Forensic and Investigative Sciences Research Group, you'll work alongside practicing professionals, consultants, field experts, and current researchers specializing in chemical/biological forensics and crime scene interpretation. Our research delves into specialized areas including crime scene processing, evidence collection techniques, investigative protocols, contamination prevention (such as fingerprint analysis), arson investigation, medical forensics, and archaeological applications. We also investigate analytical chemistry and biology applications in forensics, covering evidence recovery techniques, complex sample analysis, and method refinement for forensic testing.
