Our MA History program exposes you to varied historical eras and methodologies (social, cultural, political, digital) while introducing contemporary historical discourse on topics like material culture, race, spatial analysis, and globalization.

By joining ARU's MA History program, you'll immerse yourself in a lively postgraduate community. Situated in Cambridge's picturesque and historically important setting, you'll enjoy a stimulating academic atmosphere with access to local archives like the Cambridgeshire Collection, Churchill College Archives, Cambridge University Library, and Imperial War Museum at Duxford. London's British Library is just a 50-minute train ride away.

The program cultivates independent learning, empowering you to confidently manage research projects, construct compelling arguments, and address complex challenges. You'll acquire versatile skills that boost your career advancement opportunities.

These competencies apply to various fields including research, education, heritage management, fundraising, library science, archival work, marketing, technology, and media, as well as doctoral studies.
