A law degree equips you with the ability to understand, analyze, and implement the rules and structures society establishes to maintain justice and order. Our program enhances your legal expertise through professional mentorship and hands-on training. It covers the seven fundamental areas of legal education while fulfilling the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board criteria for becoming a UK solicitor or barrister, plus offers reduced rates for BARBRI SQE prep courses. Learn in Cambridge, Chelmsford, or Peterborough, collaborate with practicing solicitors in our legal clinics, and hone your skills in simulated court settings. Whether you aim to apply legal expertise in business, finance, policy, or public service, our program delivers versatile skills for diverse career paths.
Numerous students pursue law studies driven by a desire to assist others. Starting in your first year, you can participate in our Cambridge or Chelmsford legal clinics. Under solicitor supervision, you'll provide legal guidance to community members. Regardless of specialization, our personal tutor program ensures consistent academic support during your ARU journey. This course offers a four-year option including a foundation year. Cambridge or Chelmsford students begin at ARU College (Cambridge) for Year 1 before continuing at either campus for Years 2-4, while Peterborough students complete all four years there.
