This four-year degree offered in Cambridge and Chelmsford equips you with clinical expertise, practical skills, and professional accreditation to excel as a dual-qualified nurse. Train in our state-of-the-art nursing labs that replicate real hospital wards, where you'll practice with advanced medical equipment under the guidance of expert instructors in small group settings.
This comprehensive program develops versatile healthcare professionals qualified in both child and mental health nursing. At ARU, you'll complete specialized placements and coursework addressing both physical and psychological patient needs. We focus on cultivating clinical excellence while strengthening your leadership capabilities throughout your nursing journey.
Approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, our balanced curriculum combines theoretical learning with hands-on clinical experience. Your training will progress from classroom instruction to diverse practice settings including GP clinics, home healthcare visits, children's hospital wards, and pediatric emergency departments. Clinical rotations spanning 7-12 weeks may involve health visiting services, neonatal units, pediatric assessment centers, and community mental health programs for youth. An optional international placement opportunity is available after your second year.
