This program caters to international nursing professionals holding a Diploma-level qualification in their home country who seek to deepen their knowledge of UK healthcare practices. The Nursing Studies BSc (Hons) Top-Up degree offers international nurses with equivalent diploma qualifications the chance to engage in full-time study at Coventry University, examining the theoretical foundations of British nursing.
Participants will examine crucial aspects of UK nursing, including leadership and management roles. Graduates often pursue registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) (fees and requirements apply; consult the NMC website for details). This curriculum facilitates exploration of nursing theory while fostering global knowledge exchange among international nursing professionals. The program consists of five core modules and one elective, with completion of all six leading to a BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies international (Top-Up) qualification.
Through academic advancement, students can compare healthcare methodologies between their native country and the UK. The course structure promotes interaction between UK nursing students and international peers from diverse backgrounds.
