Get ready for a professional journey in technical art within the visual effects and gaming sectors. Enhance your abilities to qualify for positions such as technical artist, procedural content developer, and technical director. Our BA (Hons) Visual Effects program equips you with cutting-edge procedural 3D skills, preparing you to collaborate effectively with programmers, developers, and fellow artists.

Through industry-standard procedural content creation tools, you'll master designing and implementing solutions for challenges faced in gaming and visual effects production.

While covering essential VFX and computer graphics fundamentals, our curriculum ensures you stay current with emerging methods and industry developments. We'll guide you in recognizing the complementary expertise required to thrive in creative fields. As a Visual Effects student at ARU, you'll study in Chelmsford, Essex—a region boasting 25 game studios like Midas Interactive, Ghostlight, and Elephant Games, with nearly 200 active gaming companies across the East of England.
