Our BA (Hons) Musical Theatre degree develops specialized skills including actor-musicianship, physical theatre, dance, and choreography. Learn from experienced musical directors, artistic directors, and choreographers in professional facilities like our Mumford Theatre.
Cambridge's vibrant arts scene offers exceptional performance opportunities in renowned venues, making it an ideal location for Musical Theatre studies. You'll have the option to study abroad for a semester with available funding support. First-year students build core skills in ensemble singing, acting techniques, and ballet/jazz dance, leading to a debut production at Covent Garden Theatre.
Second-year students refine advanced technical abilities while preparing for a week-long book musical performance at Mumford Theatre, alongside in-class performance evaluations.
You'll collaborate with industry experts on three full productions and a first-year showcase, building toward an impressive final-year performance. The program includes advanced audition training, professional showreel development, and agent feedback opportunities. Participate in our musical theatre choir and professional singing competitions judged by industry leaders. Throughout your studies, you'll develop confidence, emotional resilience, and exceptional teamwork skills.
