Cultivate your personal artistic practice, investigate innovative techniques and mediums, and immerse yourself in modern art theory through our BA (Hons) Fine Art program at Cambridge School of Art. ARU's Fine Art course encourages creative experimentation, material exploration, and finding the perfect mediums to express your concepts. From day one at Cambridge School of Art, you'll have direct access to your personal studio space. Our creative hubs surround the Ruskin Gallery, a versatile exhibition space, fostering collaboration with fellow artists across different years and disciplines within our vibrant creative community. Crucially, you'll receive dedicated mentorship from our team of professional artists who are committed to nurturing your artistic growth. We'll encourage you to push boundaries with various materials, mediums, and techniques as you gain confidence and compile an impressive body of work.

Learning extends beyond the studio with excursions to local exhibitions, London galleries, and international art destinations including Berlin, Madrid, Amsterdam, and the Venice Biennale.

The program offers numerous chances for collaborative projects and exhibitions, providing valuable experience in curation, event coordination, and arts marketing. To prepare for your professional journey, we offer continuous assistance securing internships and practical opportunities. Recent students collaborated with Cambridge's Grafton Centre, transforming vacant retail units into curated art exhibitions. The curriculum also includes an optional placement year to further enhance your professional development.
