Our Department of Geography and Earth Sciences has a fundamental scientific mission: to advance knowledge about Earth's natural and social systems, the forces that transform them, and the issues arising from environmental and societal shifts. As an interdisciplinary unit, we integrate approaches from science, social science, and humanities, with Geography as our central discipline intersecting with Earth Sciences. We actively collaborate with and contribute to related fields spanning from archaeology to physics to sociology.
