Geography research is organized into two interdisciplinary clusters: Environmental Change & Resilience (ECR) and Culture & Society (C&S).
Physical Geography studies examine long-term environmental shifts, ecosystem resilience, heritage site impacts from climate change, and contaminated land assessment. Researchers employ geo-spatial tools like remote sensing, GIS systems, big data analytics, and spatiotemporal modeling. Many projects are cross-disciplinary, including wetland hydrogeology, climate effects on soil stability, forensic geology, and coastal formation studies. Funding options exist for these research areas, including the QUADRAT doctoral training program.
