The need for Modern Languages instruction is growing rapidly. At Aberystwyth, our PGCE program in Modern Languages (Spanish) examines techniques for teaching languages to beginners who might not speak English as their first language. Through the Aberystwyth ITE Partnership, you'll develop skills to teach your chosen modern language or multiple languages simultaneously. This program covers teaching methodologies tailored to your specific language focus, such as French and/or Spanish combinations. As part of the Languages, Literacy and Communication curriculum area, you'll learn to educate motivated, skilled students who are knowledgeable and self-assured about global cultures and the countries where their target languages are spoken.

Qualification Requirements
Entry Requirements UK Bachelors (Honours) degree, or international equivalent, in a relevant subject area. A minimum of 50% of the content of this Bachelors degree should have relevance to Foreign Languages. Applicants who hold a Bachelors (Honours) degree in another other subject, but who are fluent Spanish speakers, may also be considered.
Other Requirements GCSE Grade C in either English Language or Welsh Language (First Language). Grade C in GCSE Mathematics or Mathematics-Numeracy is also required. Other qualifications that demonstrate achievement at the same level are also acceptable
IELTS IELTS 7.0 with minimum 6.0 in each component, or equivalent
TOEFL iBT 100 with minimum component scores: Reading 24, Listening 22, Speaking 25, Writing 24
