Upon completion, graduates will be ready to begin their counseling careers at entry-level positions within New Zealand's bicultural framework.
Program completers can apply for provisional membership with professional bodies. While counselor registration isn't currently compulsory, industry standards recommend affiliation with recognized associations like NZAC, Te Whāriki Tautoko, or NZCCA that maintain ethical codes. Those specializing in addiction counseling must obtain Dapaanz certification.
