A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) represents the pinnacle of academic achievement within the Wellington Faculty of Architecture and Design Innovation, involving rigorous supervised research.
This doctoral dissertation showcases substantial independent investigation, presenting novel findings that expand scholarly understanding in a specific discipline. Beyond intellectual capacity and research skills, completing this demanding program requires sustained commitment and perseverance.

A Bachelor of Architecture degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Designed Environments (Architecture) from this university, or an equivalent qualification.
Either a Bachelor's degree with Honours or a Master's degree from a New Zealand university, with an overall GPA of no less than 6 (letter grade B+),
Or to be currently enrolled in a Master's thesis at the Victoria University of Wellington and meet the requirements for conversion to a PhD,
IELTS (Academic): minimum overall score of 6.5 with no sub-score below 6.0
TOEFL: minimum score of 90 for the internet-based test with a minimum of 20 in writing
EAP: minimum final scores of 4,4,5,5
