Shape tomorrow by understanding yesterday—become part of Victoria's dynamic postgraduate History program. You'll access top-tier facilities, support systems, and professional networks that foster groundbreaking research. Working alongside peers in dedicated History workspaces, you'll exchange ideas, guidance, and perspectives while exploring Wellington's exceptional historical collections. These invaluable resources encompass the Alexander Turnbull Library, Te Papa, Waitangi Tribunal, National Archives, and National Library. Collaborate to coordinate and present at the yearly New Historians' Conference, connecting with researchers across all levels to establish career-launching professional relationships. Experience a vibrant academic environment with close faculty ties, enhanced by workshops, seminars, and discussion groups. The program requires completing 120 points within one year (or up to four years part-time). Honors students pursue more independent study, including a supervised 30-point research project involving design, execution, and documentation. Smaller class sizes at this level facilitate stronger connections with faculty members.
