Our Bachelor of Nursing with Honours (BNurs(Hons)) program caters to academically strong students currently working in clinical practice with their managers' support. Those enrolled in the BNurs(Hons) will undertake a research thesis while receiving guidance from both a clinical mentor and academic supervisor throughout their studies. The curriculum consists of an approved course (30 credits, agreed upon by the workplace manager and the University of Waikato) plus a 90-credit Research Thesis. Merging Waikato's rigorous academic expectations with practical healthcare environments, our program empowers registered nurses to more effectively serve Midlands communities, prioritizing health equity for Māori and Pacific populations—especially in mental health, addiction services, and across both urban and rural areas.
