The Postgraduate Diploma in Commerce (PGDipCom) is a two-semester coursework program tailored for graduates aiming to advance their undergraduate qualifications and boost their professional opportunities. In contrast to the Bachelor of Commerce with Honours (BCom(Hons)), this diploma doesn't involve dissertation writing. Students may graduate with distinction or credit recognition.

Accounting serves as the financial communication system for businesses and non-profit entities. Mastering its principles and vocabulary equips you with essential insights into business challenges and their resolutions. This discipline focuses on delivering financial insights to assist organizations in strategizing and fulfilling fiscal, taxation, and auditing requirements. Developing accessible, adaptable reports demands collaborative effort and integration of diverse data types. Accounting professionals play a transformative role within organizations. Graduates from Otago's accounting program often secure leadership positions rapidly in their careers. Far from mere number-crunchers, they engage in vibrant, demanding work. Regardless of your professional ambitions, accounting expertise proves universally beneficial.
