The MProfAcctg is a specialized master's program designed to equip students with expertise in accounting, finance, business management, taxation, and commercial law. This professional degree supports career advancement while offering the academic foundation required for chartered or certified practicing accountant qualifications. Accredited by CAANZ, CPA Australia, ACCA, and CIMA, this 240-point program spans 18 months across six study periods. Students engage with core business subjects alongside focused accounting coursework, complemented by two professional development modules that cultivate essential workplace competencies for career success.
You must have completed an undergraduate degree in business or a non-business degree in a relevant discipline such as arts, engineering, technology, or science. Your study must be from a recognised university (or similar institution) and you will need a GPE of 5.0 in the most advanced courses taken.
If you have completed advanced course(s) in an undergraduate degree that are considered substantially similar to courses in this programme you will be required to complete substitute course(s). Advice will be provided to you on a case-by-case basis.
IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 and no bands less than 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
