The Postgraduate Diploma in Bioethics and Health Law (PGDipBHL) delivers comprehensive training in bioethics and healthcare legislation, examining ethical and legal perspectives on contemporary medical challenges. This joint program between the Bioethics Centre and the Faculty of Law fosters an interdisciplinary learning environment. The curriculum includes three mandatory courses (Theories of Biomedical Ethics; Legal, Ethical and Medical Issues; and Medical Law). Students must complete at least one additional Law course, with remaining credits earned through supplementary Bioethics or Law electives. This diploma grants 120-point credit toward the Master of Bioethics and Health Law degree. The flexible program accommodates both full-time and part-time study, with distance learning options available.

Qualification Requirements

Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences).
Every applicant shall
be a graduate or possess an appropriate health professional qualification requiring at least three years of full-time tertiary study and
present evidence of ability for advanced level academic study.

IELTS (Academic) - Overall score of 6.5, no individual band below 6.0.
TOEFL iBT - Overall score of 90 and a writing score of 21.
