The Master of Bioethics and Health Law (MBHL) is an interdisciplinary graduate program involving supervised research dissertation work plus 120 points worth of coursework from designated papers. Students may earn this degree with distinction or credit honors. Combining ethical and legal frameworks, the program addresses bioethical challenges emerging from medical technological advancements and evolving healthcare systems and resource allocation.

Qualification Requirements

Admission to the programme will be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences).
Every applicant shall possess a postgraduate diploma, or be a graduate with honours or of a four-year undergraduate programme in a relevant discipline. A candidate shall usually have completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Bioethics and Health Law (PGDipBHL) or an equivalent qualification, and shall have achieved an average across all papers of at least B.
All applicants must present evidence of ability for advanced level academic study.

IELTS (Academic) - Overall score of 6.5, no individual band below 6.0.
TOEFL iBT - Overall score of 90 and a writing score of 21.
