The Postgraduate Certificate in Travel Medicine (PGCertTravMed) is a nationally accredited program designed for healthcare practitioners specializing in travel health. This certification establishes essential competencies for quality travel medicine care. Program participants will acquire expertise to provide comprehensive pre- and post-travel guidance and treatment. The curriculum covers fundamental aspects of travel medicine, key components of pre-travel assessments (including risk evaluation), and current information sources. Special attention is given to addressing travel health requirements for vulnerable groups such as pediatric patients, expectant mothers, immunocompromised individuals, visiting friends/relatives travelers, and adventure seekers. The program encompasses immunization guidance for preventable diseases along with strategies to mitigate various travel-related health hazards, including vector-borne, foodborne, and waterborne illnesses.

Qualification Requirements

Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences).
Every applicant shall be a graduate or possess an appropriate health professional qualification requiring at least three years' full-time tertiary study.

IELTS (Academic) - Overall score of 6.5, no individual band below 6.0.
TOEFL iBT - Overall score of 90 and a writing score of 21.
