The Master of Physiotherapy (MPhty endorsed) program, specializing in Neurorehabilitation, Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy, or Sports Physiotherapy, enhances students' clinical reasoning and patient care abilities beyond foundational practitioner levels while fulfilling key specialization requirements. The research component, spanning one semester, may involve designing and executing a small-scale research project, case series, clinical data review, systematic review, or critical analysis under faculty guidance—equipping graduates with research literacy for evidence-based practice in their professional careers.
Students also have the option to complete two approved courses plus a thesis to earn a research-focused MPhty degree. Our School of Physiotherapy maintains a robust postgraduate research initiative, supporting numerous master's candidates exploring diverse topics from neurological conditions to anatomical research. We equip students with advanced knowledge and hands-on experience to refine their research capabilities—whether employing qualitative/quantitative statistical methods, laboratory investigations, community-based projects, prevalence studies, or clinical trials. Our goal is for graduates to complete their degree with confidence in conducting research, evaluating literature, and applying best practices—whether pursuing doctoral studies or enhancing clinical expertise.
