Graduates of the Master of Oral Health (MOH) program will acquire specialized expertise and competencies in dental therapy and hygiene. They'll exhibit research-driven clinical excellence, execute oral health initiatives, generate publishable research (meeting NZQF Level 9 standards for international journals and conferences), and possess qualifications for pursuing doctoral studies.
Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences). Every applicant must hold the degree of Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Otago or another oral health qualification approved by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences), and be registered in the areas of dental hygiene and/or dental therapy practice in their country of practice or residence. Applicants must have achieved a minimum grade point average of B in the final year of the qualifying degree or qualification. Admission to the programme is limited to a maximum of six candidates annually.
