The world is shifting from fossil fuel dependence to sustainable energy solutions through Renewable Energy. UC researchers are engaged in renewable energy initiatives across Pacific Island nations, Southeast Asia, and local projects such as converting Burnham Army Camp to greener energy sources in Aotearoa New Zealand.
As an interdisciplinary field, Renewable Energy features courses offered by all departments in the College of Engineering Te Rāngai Pūkaha, with its academic home in the Department of Civil and Natural Resources Engineering.
The program equips students with knowledge about diverse renewable energy sources, conversion technologies, system modeling approaches, sustainability challenges, and real-world problem-solving strategies.
