Designed for existing healthcare practitioners and graduates with applicable bachelor's degrees seeking advanced education in health disciplines. Our Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science offers comprehensive coverage across diverse health science topics. Opt for either a general curriculum or focus on a specific specialization. Requires twelve months of intensive study or flexible part-time completion within four years. Select from our broad health sciences diploma or various specialized tracks. The PGDipHSc (Ultrasound) pathway enables qualification for sonographer registration in New Zealand, available exclusively to candidates securing clinical placements in University of Auckland-affiliated ultrasound facilities.
You must have completed an undergraduate degree at a recognised university (or similar institution) in a health-related discipline such as health sciences, medicine, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, psychology, or social work. You will need a Grade Point Average (GPA) or Grade Point Equivalent (GPE) of at least 2.5.
You must have completed an undergraduate degree in medical imaging (or similar) at a recognised university (or similar institution) and have registration with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board.
IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 and no bands less than 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
