Designed for existing healthcare professionals and graduates with relevant bachelor's degrees seeking advanced education in health sciences. Our Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science offers comprehensive coverage across various health disciplines. Students can opt for a general pathway or focus on a specific specialization. The program requires one year of full-time commitment or can be completed part-time over four years. Choose either our broad health sciences diploma or select from available specialized tracks. The PGDipHSc (MRI) pathway specifically leads to MRI technologist certification in New Zealand, with admission limited to candidates securing clinical training placements in approved University of Auckland MRI facilities.
You must have completed an undergraduate degree at a recognised university (or similar institution) in a health-related discipline such as health sciences, medicine, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, psychology, or social work. You will need a Grade Point Average (GPA) or Grade Point Equivalent (GPE) of at least 2.5. You must be a health professional currently working in these service areas.
You must have completed an undergraduate degree in medical imaging (or similar) at a recognised university (or similar institution) and have registration with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board.
English language requirements:
IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 and no bands less than 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
