The Master of Music (MMus) program enhances your musical abilities, preparing you for advanced careers in various music fields. At this level, you can focus on one of four specializations – performance, composition, musicology, or studio pedagogy. The program encourages exploration of your unique interests and strengths while fostering independent thinking about music and critical analysis of relevant theories and practices. Pursuing a music degree at this level increases opportunities for success in performance or composition, while also opening doors to academic and research careers where you can contribute to meaningful projects in music and the arts. The research-focused path is perfect for students aiming to undertake a significant project, whether multifaceted or centered on a specific theme. This option also allows you to complement your research with elective coursework.
