The MLitt serves as an alternative to a PhD for those holding a master's degree who wish to pursue an extensive research endeavor. Available across most disciplines within the Faculty of Arts (pending approval and supervisory availability), this program allows you to either deepen your expertise in your current field or explore new academic territories. Particularly valuable for various academic and professional paths, the MLitt is ideal for those not pursuing doctoral studies. The curriculum includes global perspectives on museums and heritage, with special emphasis on indigenous cultures of Aotearoa New Zealand and the Pacific region.
You need to have completed a masters degree in any discipline from a recognised university (or similar institution) with a GPE of 4.0 or higher.
