The PGDipArts serves as an alternative pathway to the Bachelor of Arts (Honours). This program offers diverse Arts subject options, with the potential to incorporate a dissertation. It's ideal if you seek advanced academic work without a dissertation requirement, if your home country doesn't recognize honors degrees, or if you prefer part-time study over an extended duration. The curriculum explores global museum and heritage approaches, emphasizing indigenous perspectives from Aotearoa New Zealand and the Pacific region. Museum and Cultural History courses examine various themes including: Museum evolution, Cultural politics, Intellectual rights, Public art concepts, Curatorial methods, Heritage tourism, Art criticism, Colonial influences, and Historical narratives.
