Our LLM program offers sophisticated and adaptable legal education tailored for students pursuing either full-time or part-time study. Maintain your career progress while learning, or immerse yourself completely to advance more rapidly. With year-round enrollment opportunities, the LLM gives you the freedom to propel your professional growth. Students can explore interdisciplinary options by selecting one or two master's courses (maximum 30 credits) from other University of Auckland faculties. The program includes essential legal research methodology training for those needing to develop these crucial skills. Choose from more than 30 specialized courses to focus on specific legal fields or diversify your knowledge across various subjects. You can complete the LLM through coursework, research projects, or a blend of both approaches. This advanced curriculum enables deeper examination of legal topics beyond undergraduate levels, featuring both detailed legal analyses and policy-focused courses. Every course incorporates substantial research elements, typically culminating in a 12,500-word research paper for 30-credit classes.
