Our LLM program offers sophisticated and adaptable legal education for students pursuing studies either full-time or part-time. Maintain your career progress while learning, or immerse yourself fully to advance more rapidly. The LLM features year-round enrollment, giving you the freedom to propel your professional growth. Students can also incorporate interdisciplinary learning by selecting one or two master's courses (up to 30 credits) from other University of Auckland faculties. For those needing to strengthen their capabilities, the program includes legal research methodology training. Choose from more than 30 specialized courses to focus on specific legal fields or explore diverse subjects. The LLM can be completed through coursework, research projects, or a blend of both approaches. This curriculum enables deeper examination of legal topics beyond undergraduate levels, featuring both specialized legal analyses and policy-focused studies. Every course incorporates substantial research elements, typically culminating in a 12,500-word essay for 30-credit classes.
