The MEngSt program enables students with engineering qualifications to enhance their current theoretical and practical knowledge. Offering flexibility, you can pursue studies either full-time or part-time, opt for a coursework-heavy or research-oriented path, and select from sixteen specialized areas. This degree demands thorough investigation into your selected field, showcasing advanced analytical abilities and solution-finding expertise valued by global employers. The MEngSt also serves as a stepping stone for continued academic pursuits. Our program actively engages in practical initiatives nationwide, with student involvement ranging from Christchurch's reconstruction efforts to enhancing nationwide transport networks, constructing water storage systems, and disaster response operations. Participants also contribute to policy development within local and regional government bodies.

Qualification Requirements

You must have completed a four-year bachelors degree in engineering at a recognised university (or similar institution), in a field similar to your intended specialisation, that includes: Broad coverage in your first year of the foundational science topics that underpin engineering disciplines: mathematical modelling, chemical and materials science, electrical engineering theory, mechanics, programming, and engineering design. One year of postgraduate-level study A research project or dissertation comprising at least one-quarter of the final year. You will need a GPE of 4.0. IELTS (Academic) - Overall score of 6.5 and no bands below 6.0 Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) - Overall score of 90 and a written score of 21 Paper-based TOEFL - Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21
