Concentrating on key challenges in disaster resilience and risk mitigation, the MDisMgt program provides you with practical skills to effectively address complex problems in demanding situations.

We adopt a comprehensive disaster management strategy, delivering the expertise required to develop frameworks, establish policies, and formulate solutions. A mandatory research component allows you to showcase critical analysis and problem-solving abilities by tackling an actual disaster-related challenge.

This program leverages interdisciplinary knowledge from throughout the University. In addition to the Faculty of Engineering's renowned academics, you'll gain insights from specialists in Science, Architecture and Planning, Development Studies, and Environmental Law. Qualification Requirements

In order to be admitted to this programme, a student needs to have completed the requirements for: either a (i) the Degree of Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) from the University of Auckland with a Grade Point Average of 5.0 or higher in 120 points above Stage III or (ii) the Degree of Bachelor of Arts (Honours), or the Degree of Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), or the Degree of Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours), or the Degree of Bachelor of Laws, or the Degree of Bachelor of Laws (Honours), or the Degree of Bachelor of Planning, or the Degree of Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Auckland with a Grade Point Average of 5.0 or higher in 120 points above Stage III or (iii) an equivalent qualification as approved by Senate or its representative, at a level deemed satisfactory by the Dean of Faculty of Engineering or b (i) the Degree of Bachelor of Arts, or the Degree of Bachelor of Commerce, or the Degree of Bachelor of Health Sciences, or the Degree of Bachelor of Science from the University of Auckland with a Grade Point Average of 5.0 or higher in 120 points above Stage II or (ii) an equivalent qualification as approved by Senate or its representative, at a level deemed satisfactory by the Dean of Faculty of Engineering.
