Massey's Master of Emergency Management equips you with the expertise to lead in crisis situations at both tactical and executive levels. This program centers on preparing communities to handle emergencies, covering survival strategies, reconstruction of societal frameworks, and maintaining essential services. Through this degree, you'll develop comprehensive understanding of emergency management challenges, methodologies, and governance approaches.
Students can choose between coursework or research-focused study paths in this Master's program.
You'll acquire vital competencies in:

All students must meet university entrance requirements to be admitted to the University.
Specific requirements
To enter the Master of Emergency Management you will have:
been awarded or qualified for an undergraduate degree with a minimum B grade average across the 200/300 level major courses, and
at least two years relevant industry or professional experience, or
been awarded or qualified for a Postgraduate Diploma in Emergency Management or equivalent, with at least a B grade average.
If you have been awarded or qualified for a Postgraduate Diploma in Emergency Management as outlined above, you may apply for credit towards Part One of the qualification in accordance with the limits specified in the Recognition of Prior Learning regulations.
You will need to provide verified copies of all academic transcripts for studies taken at all universities other than Massey University.
