An MCom equips you with advanced expertise and skills through a stimulating postgraduate program in your chosen specialization. This degree enables you to build upon your undergraduate business education with higher-level postgraduate studies. You'll gain qualifications for specialized roles in both public and private organizations or for pursuing advanced academic research. The MCom is an advanced 120 or 180-point master's program requiring prior undergraduate study in the same field. The 180-point option is a 12-15 month intensive program blending coursework with research, culminating in either a concise dissertation (60 points) or an extensive research portfolio (90 points). Taught 180 points: You must have completed an undergraduate degree in the same field as your intended specialisation at a recognised university (or similar institution). You will need a GPE of 5.0.
Research 120 points: You must have completed one year of postgraduate study, following an undergraduate degree, at a recognised university (or similar institution). Your study must have been in the same field as your intended specialisation and you will need a GPE of 5.0.
IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 and no band less than 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
