Our MBiotech program enables you to investigate opportunities, acquire knowledge, and tackle pressing worldwide issues affecting human and environmental health. You can specialize in fields such as genomics, proteomics, microbial biotechnology, or bioinformatics, or choose a diverse curriculum encompassing all these subjects. Additionally, you'll cultivate skills that prepare you for careers in biotechnology or advanced academic pursuits. Admission requires an accredited undergraduate degree in biotechnology or biological sciences, with foundational knowledge in molecular biosciences, biochemistry, microbiology, and genetics. Graduates will be highly sought after by employers in various private and public sector organizations for their expertise in biological innovation and technological advancement across markets, environments, and communities. Biotechnology graduates typically find employment in medical, diagnostic, and healthcare fields; primary industries including agriculture, food production, and dairy; regulatory and consulting services; Crown Research Institutes and government bodies; health and environmental conservation; as well as higher education institutions.
