The MA provides diverse options to suit your needs. You can select between research-based or taught programs, with durations of either one year or 18 months based on your prior qualifications, across over 40 academic disciplines. Your previous studies may allow you to explore a field different from your original specialization. A research master's lets you make meaningful contributions to your chosen discipline by undertaking a significant research project guided by New Zealand's top academics. Alternatively, a taught master's offers intensive learning in small groups, direct engagement with faculty, and a shorter research component. Drama postgraduate studies aim to energize artistic practice through scholarly exploration. Within an Arts postgraduate program, you can expand your expertise in various drama-related fields including: Direction, Scriptwriting, Dramatic analysis, Collaborative creation, Acting techniques, Stage production and arts administration, Drama theory and literature, Theatrical performance, Shakespearean studies, Modern theater, Experimental performance and practice-led research, as well as Cinematic theater.
