The MD represents an advanced postgraduate doctoral program focused on in-depth study and original research. This research often addresses pressing clinical and practical challenges in the field. Graduates gain the expertise to assume leadership roles by advancing and sharing specialized knowledge within their profession. Students may pursue this degree either on-campus or remotely, and may include prior research in their submission, provided it hasn't been used for another academic qualification. The MD research directly contributes to solving real-world clinical and practice problems, equipping graduates to guide their profession through knowledge development and dissemination. Please note that while the University of Auckland awards the degree, it doesn't facilitate graduate employment and cannot ensure professional registration or job opportunities in New Zealand or elsewhere.
