A BHScLLB(Hons) combined degree enables you to earn both a BHSc and LLB(Hons) more quickly and with fewer credits than pursuing them individually. Researchers are investigating and tackling modern societal issues, while contemporary legislators create frameworks for emerging scientific fields like climate policy, genetic engineering, biotech regulations, and beyond. As scientific breakthroughs constantly expand our knowledge, there's growing need for legal experts with scientific training - and scientists who understand legal complexities surrounding research. Graduates with a BScLLB(Hons) dual degree have diverse career opportunities across science and law. The University of Auckland Law School's honors program carries significant prestige. Beyond core legal competencies, honors students develop superior research and writing abilities, making them ideal candidates for policy and research positions. For those with scientific aptitude, this combined degree provides pathways into specialized legal fields like environmental regulation, patent law, or scientific sectors including biotech, IT, and forensic sciences.
