A BScLLB combined degree enables you to earn both a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Laws more efficiently, requiring less time and fewer credits than pursuing each degree individually. Researchers are investigating and tackling modern societal issues, while contemporary legislators create frameworks for emerging fields like climate policy, genetic engineering, biotech innovations, and beyond. With rapid advancements constantly expanding our knowledge, there's growing need for legal experts with scientific training - and scientists skilled in handling the legal complexities surrounding their work. As a University student, you'll have access to career planning support through our Career Development and Employability Services.

The Law curriculum encompasses various subjects through required and optional courses in the LLB program. Instead of early specialization, students first complete core legal studies to establish comprehensive knowledge, with elective choices available in their final year. Ranked as New Zealand's premier law faculty and among the world's elite (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021), Auckland Law School helps students cultivate critical analysis, communication, and research abilities. Your legal education will also deepen your grasp of professional ethics, legal responsibilities, and law's societal function.
