Sociology encompasses four key thematic areas. Through a Bachelor of Arts with a Sociology major, you can explore these interconnected fields based on your interests. Applied sociology and social policy analyzes governmental and community approaches to social issues like health, wellness, and illness. Comparative and global sociology studies societies across different regions, nations, and historical periods, covering topics from Pacific regional organizations to cross-cultural perspectives on mortality.
